Role Summary: UK Payroll Leader, Pensions Administration

This pivotal role involves leading the transformation and optimization of pensions payroll services, ensuring seamless delivery to a diverse client base, including those in the BPA sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate, compliant, and timely pensions payroll processing for a wide range of clients.
  • Drive payroll transformation initiatives, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead and inspire a team of 150 professionals across the UK and offshore operations.
  • Ensure adherence to UK payroll regulations, pension schemes regulations, and tax laws.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align payroll operations with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
  • Manage payroll budgets and spearhead system implementations and upgrades.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven leadership experience in pensions payroll, payroll management, ideally within financial services.
  • Expertise in UK payroll regulations and pension schemes.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with payroll technology and process automation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team management skills, including cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Commercially savvy, with a client-focused and solutions-driven mindset.


This hybrid role requires candidates to be based in the South of the UK, with travel to offices in London, Leatherhead, or Chichester.
