Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team in Kempton Park.

Requirements

• Accounting Degree BCom or equivalent
• Own Vehicle
• 2-3 years accounting experience
• Live close to Kempton Park

Duties:

• Compilations of annual financial statements
• Reconciling the income tax account to the statement of account and also investigate any variances identified
• Reconciling the VAT account to the statement of account and also investigate any variances identified
• Reconciliation of salaries to the IRP5 submitted to SARS and investigate variances identified
• Preparation of compilation working paper files for the member to review.
• Processing year-end journals on Pastel
• Completion and submission of income tax audits for companies (IT14SD) on e-filing
• Attending to all queries arising from the SARS income tax audits
• Reconciliation of inter-company transactions and address any variances identified
• Assisting the clients with year-end adjustments
• Reviewing the Balance Sheet and Income Statement for unusual and significant changes and investigate the changes
• Preparation of management accounts for the clients
• Review the detailed ledger and propose journals for any misallocations
