With 400+ brands spanning 42 countries and 17+ categories, we bring limited-edition, sustainably vetted fashion to discerning shoppers. Following a successful seed investment round, we are poised for our next phase of accelerated growth. Central to this expansion is building an exceptional finance function to support our mission.

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our finance function. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, this role blends strategic insight with hands-on execution, making it ideal for someone eager to drive financial leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You'll have the opportunity to shape the financial strategy, implement scalable processes, and directly impact Cult Mia’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy to drive growth.
  • Performance Analysis: Provide actionable insights by analyzing financial performance and trends.
  • Operations Oversight: Manage daily accounting operations (e.g. AP/AR, payroll, general ledger).
  • Reporting Excellence: Deliver accurate, timely management accounts and financial reports.
  • Financial Controls: Establish robust processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Optimize working capital and ensure healthy cash flow.
  • Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with teams to track KPIs and support decision-making.
  • Compliance Leadership: Ensure tax and regulatory compliance; liaise with auditors as needed.
  • Tech-Driven Solutions: Implement systems to scale and streamline finance operations.

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years in management accounting, ideally in retail, e-commerce, or a fast-growing start-up environment.
  • Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and operational accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to optimize tools for efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a knack for translating complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with leadership.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with a passion for building and optimizing financial systems in a start-up environment.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and pension.
  • Career growth opportunities in a high-growth, innovative start-up.
  • Flexible working arrangements, with 2 days per week in the London office (if London-based).
