We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our busy team in Wakefield.
If you have worked in a Credit Control function before, you are a great communicator with excellent telephone manner and you are a supportive team player then this may be exactly what you are looking for!
We offer a good mix of office and home working and a range of fantastic benefits together with 35 hours working week.
The office is based in Wakefield, just off junction 41 of the M1. We offer modern office facilities together with an onsite car park.
We believe that diversity and inclusion strengthens and enriches us, and that it is the responsibility of everyone at the City & Guilds Group to drive this value. As ethnic minority groups and disabled people are currently under-represented within the Group, we particularly encourage and welcome applications from these communities.
About the role
You will be contacting customers by phone and email, taking card payments, making collection notes and raising credit/write off/refunds to ensure the City & Guilds Group has the money it needs to continue to fulfill its purpose - to make a difference, by enabling people and organisations to develop their skills for personal and economic growth.
A vast majority of our clients are Universities and Colleges and we also have a number of private training providers for you to keep in touch with.
You will need to maximise your collections to meet and surpass your monthly KPIs. In addition to this, you will be setting and monitoring credit limits, encouraging customers to set up direct debits, and to accept electronic billing and statements.
About you
We want to hear from enthusiastic, confident individuals who have experience of a fast-paced credit control environment, are quick to learn, and are able to deal with a large volume of transactions and customers.
We need excellent communicators who are persuasive over the phone and via email to ensure they attain the balance of reaching targets without upsetting customers. Your ability to draw upon your knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and your outstanding customer service, will be essential to your success in the role.
It is crucial that you can work effectively as part of a team to ensure that together, you reach your KPIs. Having that team spirit, a passion for problem-solving, and a knowledge of SAP will contribute to your being a successful candidate.
