The role:
Reporting to the Head of FP&A for BU West, this role carries responsibility for all aspects of Financial Planning & Analysis of the UK Off-Trade Commercial Performance.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly Off-Trade P&L closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting principles, ABI standards, and financial policies.
- Provide P&L visibility, gap analysis, and performance insights to FP&A leadership and Off-Trade Sales teams to drive volume growth and profitability.
- Lead Commercial Budgeting and Strategic Cycles (10-year, 3-year, and 1-year plans) in collaboration with senior management and key account teams.
- Develop clear Commercial Budget P&L and key target KPIs aligned with the Strategic Plan for each account.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial modeling to support long-term strategic planning for the Off-Trade channel.
- Manage UK Off-Trade Commercial investments, prioritizing projects based on long-term returns and profitability metrics.
- Review, approve, and monitor critical Commercial investments to ensure alignment with Off-Trade strategies and performance goals.
- Indirectly lead and coach two FP&A GCC team members in Bangalore, fostering their development to ensure a sustainable talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to implement pricing and margin initiatives and monitor their execution.
- Contribute to cross-functional Off-Trade projects as a member of the Management Team, driving channel value and strategic objectives.
Who we’re looking for:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering is required; a Master’s in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting qualifications is a plus.
- 2-4 years of financial performance management experience in FMCG or the beverage industry, with pricing experience as an advantage.
- Proven financial analysis skills and experience supporting managerial decision-making while managing diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of business case preparation and implementation, including M&A, investment projects, greenfield developments, and restructuring.
- Strong understanding of FMCG, commercial levers, and financial processes and controls.
- Expertise in financial modeling and corporate finance calculations such as DCF, NPV, IRR, and Payback.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex matters and build compelling storylines.
- Track record of managing senior stakeholders with confidence, assertiveness, and resilience.
- Strong project management expertise and an excellent understanding of systems and processes integration, including product costing.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are essential.
