Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Manage the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow).
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Recommend financial adjustments to align with company goals.
Accounts Management:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.
Supervise payroll and ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations.
Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of accounts and bank statements.
Tax and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with tax laws, preparing tax filings, and liaising with tax authorities as necessary.
Prepare VAT returns and manage other tax-related filings.
Work closely with auditors during financial audits and provide requested documents.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
Assist in financial decision-making by providing insights into cost management, profitability, and investment opportunities.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants or junior finance staff.
Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
Familiarity with accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, etc.).
Excellent communication skills for reporting and presenting financial information.
Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
Personal Attributes:
Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative approach to team management.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Proactive, with the ability to anticipate financial needs and challenges.
