Location:
Hybrid working with 5 days per fortnight in our Head Office (Leek, Staffordshire) and the remaining time remotely.

Employment type:Full-time, permanent position.



Salary:
£35,000 depending on experience

Working hours: 35 hours per week, worked flexibly.

Job Purpose & Scope

To support the Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis function of the Society in their duty to manage the balance sheet and the relevant risks. This role will perform detailed reporting and analysis on the liquidity, interest rate risk and capital position while also assisting in financial analysis.



Duties and Key Responsibilities

Regular reporting:

  • Prepare daily and weekly liquidity position reporting of the Society for circulation to relevant colleagues.
  • Prepare a weekly analysis of the liquidity and cash flow position for reporting to regular forums, working with the wider team and other stakeholders to ensure all relevant future projections are taken into account.
  • Perform analysis of usage of cash and liquidity throughout the day.
  • Manage the upload of data to the Society’s ALM system, ensuring processes are robust, streamlined where possible and well controlled.



Committee reporting:

  • Be responsible for collation of the management information pack for the Asset and Liability Committee, working with the wider Finance team to ensure it is delivered within the required timescales.
  • Collate and distribute responses for ad-hoc committee reporting/
  • Collate and distribute requests from other parties, including the regulator, for onward review.



Treasury

  • Own the process for updating of data in relation to tranche management, working with the Products team and Finance colleagues to ensure it is up to date, accurate and produced efficiently.
  • Uphold compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, ensuring robust treasury operations.
  • Promote and represent the Treasury and Financial Planning team, fostering a proactive spirit of change and continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Senior Treasury Analyst in their responsibilities for:
    • Capital stress testing
    • Liquidity stress testing
    • IRRBB reporting
    • Behavioural analysis


Person Specification

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrable IT skills with good knowledge of MS Excel

Desirable
  • Working knowledge of the product offerings and balance sheet of a Building Society
  • Achieved or partially achieved a relevant accounting or treasury qualification
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject

Experience
  • Experience of working in a financial services organisation would be advantageous but is not a requirement

  • Excellent communicator

Other Requirements
  • Travel to other business locations when required
  • A Basic DBS check will be undertaken upon an offer of employment.
