Staff Accountant - Retail/Sales Company
We are a dynamic Retail/Sales company with multiple locations in Bradenton, seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our corporate headquarters in Bradenton, FL. This role will collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller, supporting the month-end close process, auditing store deposits, preparing bank reconciliations, handling sales tax returns, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable. The Staff Accountant will also oversee inventory control and assist with all aspects of inventory accounting, including accrual preparations, credit card dispute management, inventory reserves, and coordinating vendor chargebacks.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with QuickBooks for multi-location businesses
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact across all company levels and with vendors
- High attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus
