About the Role

As a Cost Accountant, you'll play a key role in implementing cost accounting methodologies, supporting inventory processes, analyzing financial data, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and accuracy in operations.

What You'll Do

• Standard Costing: Implement and maintain standard costing methodologies.
• Inventory Control: Reconcile inventory and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve costing errors (e.g., BOM, work orders, production routers).
• Financial Analysis: Assist with monthly close reports, journal entries, and P&L impact reviews.
• Inter-company Pricing: Support pricing for inter-company transactions and transfer pricing compliance.
• Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to set initial costs for new products.
• Budgeting: Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Audit Support: Assist in financial statement and regulatory audits.

What We're Looking For

Education and Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Cost Accounting.

Core Competencies

• Strong business acumen and results-driven mindset.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective time management and communication skills.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with standard costing practices, inventory control, and month-end processes.
• Experience preparing intercompany pricing and handling transfer pricing requirements.
• Proficiency in preparing financial forecasts and conducting variance analyses.

Nice-to-Haves

• Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing or global operations.
• Advanced Expertise: Knowledge of purchase price variance, foreign currency exchange impacts, and COGS variances.
• Process Improvement: Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in accounting processes.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with engineering processes for new product cost estimation.
