Role: Investment Analyst

OVERALL FUNCTION
The Investment Analyst position will play an integral role in supporting our financial planning team, growing our AUM, and in providing the highest level of service to our clients. Through continuous growth, it is our aim to hopefully develop the individual within this position to eventually lead and manage our firm's investment department. Without this role, our planning team could not devote their full efforts to our client's needs; therefore, we view this role as central to our success and growth as a team.

This position requires that you have......
· 2 years or more of experience in the financial or investment industry
· Experience with Portfolio Management
· Exposure to Alternative Investments
· Bachelor's Degree in business related field, preferred
· Series 7 License
· Progress towards or currently hold a CFA® designation, preferred
· Knowledge of and experience using MorningStar / YCharts
· Proficiency in dealing with high-net-worth clients, preferred
Investment Research
· Review client's statements, analyze their current positions, their risk tolerance, and be able to provide recommendations that will help implement the investment components of the overall financial plan
· Build or run out the investment reports in MorningStar or YCharts that act as suitability documents to back up the rational of the recommendations
· Review asset allocations, asset location, distribution strategies as well as ways to mitigate a client's tax burden when in the distribution phase of a financial plan
· Keep abreast of the markets and be able to communicate NM's stance or rational by listening / watching NM's weekly investment-based webinars or podcasts
· Ad hoc, deep dives into complex client accounts or servicing issues
Portfolio Management
· Help construct model portfolios for advisory clients and build custom portfolios for individual high-net-worth households
· Own the quarterly rebalancing of model portfolios while monitoring for portfolio tilts in between rebalances
· Understand and incorporate sophisticated investment vehicles into individual portfolios; such as but not limited to Direct Indexing, Alternative Investments, Signature Managed Accounts, and Goal Level Management
· Manage outside relationships with fund family vendors and other third-party investment consultants
Client Support
· Sit in on client review meetings with the advisor to help convey recommendations, the underlying investment rational to the client, and how the investment component works with the overall financial plan
· Hold review meetings with top investment clients to review changes to their portfolio, to answer their questions, and to seek for additional areas to provide help
SALARY & BENEFITS
· $70,000 - $120,000 base salary ( dependent on licenses, credentials, and experience)
