Introduction

Maintains complete and proper records of expenditure, assets and liabilities, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

Supports the department through the collection, processing, recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial data, verifying the validity, completeness and accuracy of source documentation. Maintains complete and proper records of expenditure, assets and liabilities, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Duties & Responsibilities
BOOKKEEPING
- Capturing and processing supplier invoices.
- Cash book processing
- Journal processing
- Reconciliations:
- General ledger control accounts
- Debtor control account reconciliations
- Accounts payable reconciliations
- Suspense accounts
- Daily receipt reconciliations
- Load new suppliers
- Verifying supplier information
- General administration
- Cash flow projections
- Monthly E-filing of returns: EMP201, EMP501, VAT201
- Annual return to DOL COID
- Maintain Fixed asset registers
- Inventory control
- Refunds
PAYMENTS
Timely and accurate financial reporting on:
- Supplier payments
- Monthly/ weekly payments
- Loading beneficiaries
- Daily transfers

- Payroll experience
- SARS E-filing experience
- Standard Bank Business Online banking platform experience
- Must have finance degree B. Comm Accounting preferred
- Must have 10 years Accounting and bookkeeping skills related experience
- Working computer experience in Microsoft office proficiency incl Advanced Excel, ACCPAC
- Must have at least 5 years SARS E Filing experience
- Must have experience in Banking software- preferably Standard Bank Business Online
- Must have experience in Sage VIP and in Asset register software preferably D-Bit
