Ivy Rock Partners is supporting a prestigious London University with the recruitment of a Junior Finance Business Partner to join the team on a 7-month fixed term contract.
As a Junior Finance Business Partner, you’ll deliver financial and management information to budget holders and stakeholders, providing a customer-focused service to support effective financial decision-making. You’ll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Experience of financial planning, budget setting, forecasting, management accounts, variance analysis and producing & explaining financial information and management accounts to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with budget managers to develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
- Support financial planning, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Assist with financial transactions, including invoicing, purchase orders, and staff cost allocations.
- Collaborate with senior finance staff to communicate policies and ensure compliance.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end processes, including adjustments and reporting.
About You
- Qualified / part-qualified accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Experience of financial planning, budget setting, forecasting, management accounts, variance analysis and producing & explaining financial information and management accounts to tight deadlines.
- Experience working within the not-for-profit sector (higher education experience desirable)
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel with experience managing large data sets
- Experience with Agresso is desired
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Salary:
£40,000 - £48,144 per annum- Hours: 35 per week,
- Hybrid working - 50% time required in office
