Our client is a manufacturing company based in Kent. They are currently looking for a Cost & Operations Accountant to join their team.
Remote working will be possible but you would be required in the office 4 days a week for the first 6 months.

Key Activities:
- Partner with the Financial Director to facilitate managing and achieving the financial targets and objectives.
- Assist with monthly financial reviews for stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Provide analytical support and insight on the manufacturing performance to both Finance and Operations.
- Manage Product costings to facilitate -Analysis and review of stock management i.e. product life cycles, slow moving /obsolete items etc.
- Analysis of Cost Base to identify biggest areas for potential cost reduction.
- Measure and analyse operational efficiencies.
- Identity specific types of waste within operations.
- Monitor, track and evaluate the operational costs and identify areas for savings.
- Support the Purchasing manager with contract reviews including cost analysis.
- Assist operations with stock cycle counts and updating of ERP system.
- Assist the Accounts Payable department with queries and invoice processing.
- Assist Finance and Operations with the maintenance of the ERP system e.g. roles, master data, reports etc.
- Provide financial input to Product Lifecycle maps developed by the Product Engineer incl Capex, Project costs and likely stock write offs.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and analyses as required by the Finance or Operations department.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified CIMA/ACA or studying towards CIMA, ACA.
- Excellent numeracy and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills.
