DBN000021 - ACCOUNTANT - (PINETOWN)

Job Summary:
The Accountant will manage financial records, prepare accounts, ensure tax compliance, handle reconciliations, and assist with budgeting and financial statements. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are required.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Degree or diploma in Accounting

At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting.

Proficiency in MS Office and Pastel (essential)

Key Responsibilities:

Review financial data: Ensure accuracy and reasonableness of monthly data.

Prepare management accounts: Compile and present monthly accounts with financial analysis.

Perform reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.

Manage budgets: Oversee budget preparation, monitoring, and alignment with business goals.

Track assets: Manage asset usage, including depreciation, acquisitions, and disposals.

Ensure tax compliance: Comply with VAT and PAYE obligations, assist with tax submissions.

Prepare financial statements: Draft annual statements and liaise with auditors and tax consultants.

Develop financial policies: Create and implement policies to improve efficiency and controls.
