Supportive Team: Join a tight-knit Liverpool team of 10-12 professionals and a wider QS team of around 20, collaborating closely with our Manchester office for an integrated approach.
Comprehensive Services: Provide a blend of Cost Management, Employers Agent, Fund Monitoring, and general commercial management for clients in both the public and private sectors, with a balanced mix of pre and post-contract work.

Your Day-to-Day:
As a Quantity Surveyor at Walker Sime, You'll be involved in a variety of project
responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Support the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, stay within budget, and maintain high standards.
Cost Management: Oversee all cost aspects, including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to manage costs effectively across each project stage.
Procurement & Tendering: Manage the tendering process, analysing bids, negotiating terms, and supporting procurement efforts to ensure successful project outcomes.
Contract Administration: Administer contracts and manage contract variations, while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, advising on potential cost implications and mitigation strategies to support project success.
Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs are met and that we consistently exceed expectations.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with colleagues across both Liverpool and Manchester offices and help support junior team members development.
About You:
Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in a consultancy setting.
Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of various sectors such as residential, infrastructure, and commercial developments, along with familiarity with different procurement routes and contract forms.
Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client satisfaction.
Analytical Skills: A keen eye for detail with strong analytical and financial skills.
Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with RICS or equivalent membership being a plus (or working towards chartership with our support).
