Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a not-for-profit institution in Southampton. This part-time role involves a variety of financial accounting duties to support our financial operations.



Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
