We are seeking a Financial Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and cost management within our organisation. You will play a key role in analysing monthly costs, monitoring invoices, and supporting various teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Guildford- Job Type: Full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract initially
Salary:
£40,000 - £60,000
We are seeking a Financial Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and cost management within our organisation. You will play a key role in analysing monthly costs, monitoring invoices, and supporting various teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Responsible for the monthly analysis of costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor invoices processed by the accounts payable team to ensure they are posted to the correct cost centre and that payments are up to date.
- Support and challenge the project delivery team to allocate contractor and 3rd party costs accurately to the correct projects.
- Collaborate with the HR and payroll team on FTE and staff costs reporting.
- Ensure costs are allocated correctly and recharged to the Insurance business, supporting the team in financial accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or currently studying, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems using multiple sources of information.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and experience with financial controlling systems such as SAP FI-CO/BW, Ariba, and Service Now.
- Understanding of IT costs and IT services is desirable but not essential.
