Reed are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist accountancy practice in central London. The firm cater to a unique clientele within the international entertainment and media industry. As the team grows, they are looking for a dedicated Junior Accountant who is prepared to take ownership of their workload and collaborate effectively with both senior and junior team members. This role offers the chance to develop specialist skills and experience within a niche of the sector.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare bookkeeping and VAT returns as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of management figures and statutory financial statements (FRS105 and FRS1021A).
  • Prepare corporation tax returns and resolve queries from clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Work directly with client managers to understand client requirements and identify areas requiring more detailed advice.
  • Contact suppliers to verify bank details and process payments, initially onto our internal system and eventually onto our client’s online banking platform.
  • Build and maintain relationships with your client portfolio, as personal attentive service is central to the firm's success.

Required skills & qualifications:
  • Studying AAT qualification.
  • Strong commitment to in developing your career in accountancy.
  • Prepared to maintain technical knowledge at a high level.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Xero is preferable but not essential.
  • Good awareness of technology and ability to apply skills to new scenarios.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and focus.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and research skills.
