My client seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to support their diverse business interests and personal financial management. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the leadership team in a fast-paced environment based in Cape Town, and gain exposure to various aspects of the property industry and startup environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple business entities
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls
- Provide support for tax planning and compliance
- Collaborate with external auditors and financial advisors
- Contribute to strategic financial decision-making
- Oversee cash flow management and financial planning
- Support the leadership team with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects
Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- BCom Accounting degree, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the property
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
