Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a solid understanding of Tally Prime 3.01 and above, Edit Log, Ledger Items, GST compliance, TDS, and complete accounting responsibilities up to Balance Sheet finalization. The ideal candidate should have 4-5 years of relevant experience in managing financial operations, statutory compliances, and providing accurate financial reports to support business decision-making.

Key

Responsibilities:


Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including entries in Tally Prime 3.01 and above.
  • Manage all transactions related to cash, bank, sales, purchases, and expenses.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the Edit Log and manage Ledger Items with accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain the balance sheet, profit and loss account, and other financial statements.


GST Compliance:

  • Manage and ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns.
  • Handle GST calculations and payments, ensuring compliance with current tax laws.
  • Resolve issues related to GST, such as mismatches and reconciliations.


TDS Compliance:

  • Deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns as per statutory requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation for TDS and handle discrepancies and corrections when required.


Taxation & Statutory Compliance:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of taxation rules and regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
  • Liaise with tax authorities for assessments, audits, and clarifications.
  • Support the finance team in handling statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.


Balance Sheet & Financial Finalization:

  • Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet.
  • Prepare and review financial reports ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.


Software Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Tally Prime 3.01 and above for handling accounting and financial data.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data entry and analysis.
  • Work with advanced features of Tally such as Edit Log, Ledger Items, and GST integration.


Other

Responsibilities:


  • Assist with financial planning, auditing, and risk management activities.
  • Handle bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and payroll accounting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree).

Experience: 4-5 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data and prepare accurate reports.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial data.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
