Reference: PS010405-SH-1A well-established global earth moving equipment company supplying the steel and mining industry requires the above to lead a financial team and to take full ownership for all financial accounting, financial management and financial reporting functions within the company.
Minimum requirements for the role:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a postgraduate in accounting or finance; CA articles or similar is essential for this role.
Previous experience having worked within a Financial Manager role within a manufacturing or distribution industry is essential for the role.
Previous experience having sat on EXCO is preferred for the role.
Previous management experience having managed a finance team is essential for the role.
The successful candidate must have accounting processing and financial reporting systems knowledge, exposure and experience.
Leadership and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work on their own initiative and time management.
Excellent analytical ability and interpersonal skills as well as strong data management skills.
Must have extensive experience with regards to budgeting and cashflow management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Leading a financial team taking full ownership for all financial accounting, financial management and financial reporting functions within the company.
Producing financial reports, managing cashflow and developing strategies to achieve the long-term financial goals of the company.
Presenting financial reports to the EXCO team.
Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures and stakeholder requirements,
Establishing and overseeing budgeting preparation, management and monitoring processes.
Performing financial analysis, reporting and management activities.
Ensuring that the financial reports are prepared and delivered on time.
Reviewing financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness.
Monitoring and managing all expenses within the allotted budget. Reviewing annual budgets and recommending any changes if needed.
Developing and monitoring standard accounting procedures to improve financial operations efficiency.
Establishing key financial strategies to enhance business profitability.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting in accordance with IFRS and SARS.
Ensuring appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the process for financial and bee audits.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
