Introduction
A 5* property in Constantia is looking to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant with a hotel background.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Banking
  • Preparing cash up bags
  • Rev report checking
  • Preparing Petty cash recons
  • Capturing invoices
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Preparing payment recons
  • Checking open balances
  • Partake in monthly Stock takes (counts)
  • Stock sheets
  • Imputing and balancing stock sheets
  • Assist with month end
  • Other duties that may be required by the Unit Accountant
  • General Admin Duties
  • Experience working with Xero
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric
  • Educational Qualification Required: B. Com/M. Com
  • 3-4 Years working as an account assistant in a 5-star hotel or similar environment.
  • Must have strong financial competence.
  • Must be able to perform in a highly confidential environment.
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Xero and Micros software.
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the accounting principles, practices, standards, and laws & regulations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and manipulating huge volume of data.
