Accounting and financial services firm seeks to hire a Junior VAT Accountant who will take charge of all VAT related tasks. Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting (Complete or final year)

Skills:

• Advanced Excel
• Xero
• SARS Efiling
• Previous VAT administration or Tax compliance experience highly beneficial

Job description:

• Prepare and submit VAT returns to SARS on time.
• Maintain accurate VAT records and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
• Review VAT transactions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist with VAT reconciliation, reporting, and compliance audits.
• Monitor VAT exemptions, refunds, and related matters.
• Communicate with internal departments, clients and SARS to gather necessary information regarding VAT filings.
• Stay abreast with VAT legislation and regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients
