Your new company
Central London Property Investment and Development company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange. The company, which employs just over 100 people.


Your new role
You will have responsibility for a variety of matters across several areas in the purchase ledger function.
3-month contract.

Your key responsibilities will include:


Processing invoices, expenses & adjustments

  • Logging and processing of purchase invoices within 24 hours, uploading them to Manhattan for onward approval, ensuring they have been coded accurately;
  • Managing the approval process for purchase invoices, proactively chasing overdue unapproved invoices to ensure suppliers are paid to agreed terms;
  • Set up new suppliers in Manhattan, following the company's internal procedures; and
  • Maintain supplier details in Manhattan.



Dealing with suppliers and internal queries

  • Day-to-day dealings with suppliers regarding queries,
  • Create and maintain positive long-term relationships with various departments, resolving internal queries quickly and effectively;
  • Chase supplier credit balances for refunds;
  • Chasing for VAT invoices where proformas have previously been paid;
  • Assist in the reconciliation of supplier statements and aged supplier balances on the ledger.
  • Chasing suppliers for refunds not yet received


Skills and experience required:

  • At least 2 years' purchase ledger experience, preferably within the Property sector;
  • Preferably AAT Level 2 qualification
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work as a team player;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Quick learner and willingness to take on new responsibilities;
  • Good planning and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines;
  • Good problem-solving skills; and
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
