About the Role
Reporting to Payroll Manager, the part-time Payroll Support role is responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate, timely, end-to-end payroll processing. Working in an online hybrid environment, with stakeholders spread across multiple locations,
A typical day might include:
- Responding to an enquiry from a Store Manager about an employee's pay
- Helping a Store Manager work through employee system access issues
- Reconciling timesheets
- Maintaining employee records across payroll systems
- Running a payroll audit using one of our detailed process guides
- Contributing to a team brainstorming session
- Grabbing a coffee with the support office team - we are on Sydney Road in Brunswick, so we are spoiled for choice!
About You
To ensure you can hit the ground running, you will have a mix of the following:
- Availability to work full days Mondays and Tuesdays - this is a part time role (45 - 50hrs per fortnight), so we can be flexible with other days, but Monday and Tuesday are payroll processing
- Ability to work in an online environment - we are a paperless team working from multiple locations
- Excellent Excel skills - we spend a lot of time in Excel spreadsheets, so you need to be comfortable with formulas. And if you love pivot tables, that's a bonus!
- Attention to detail - in payroll a misplaced comma is the difference between $90 and $9000
- Strong time management skills - we work to tight timelines, with conflicting priorities, so you need to be a master ball juggler, prioritizing and managing your time like a pro
- Solution focused - you are a born problem solver, always looking to find the right solution to ensure an accurate and timely payroll
- Customer focused - we make service count, so you will need to be passionate about providing timely and expert advice
- Do the right thing - you are passionate about standing up for what's right and doing what you say you will
- Eager to learn - you are always looking to find a better way, adapt and improve
- Impact driven - you want to make an impact on your team and your community
