About the Role

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee all aspects of finance, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic planning. The role is critical in managing day-to-day financial operations, enhancing processes, and driving efficiencies.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO will work closely with the board and executive team to deliver on aggressive growth targets, consolidate operations, and position the organisation as a leader in its sector.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with short-term objectives and long-term goals.
  • Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to consolidate entities, streamline operations, and maximise shareholder value.
  • Partner with the CEO and board on corporate structures, tax planning, and capital management strategies.
Financial Operations and Management
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure efficient resource allocation and robust financial performance.
  • Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk to maintain organisational stability.
  • Establish and improve financial procedures, controls, and reporting systems to enhance accuracy and transparency.
  • Drive monthly financial reporting, including profit and loss statements, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
  • Lead business management meetings to review financial performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
Capital Management and Growth
  • Evaluate and execute potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead due diligence processes, financial modelling, and negotiations to support expansion initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise capital structure and financial resources across the organisation.
Compliance, Governance, and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies to uphold governance standards.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the board, executive team, and external partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership, providing financial guidance to support strategic decision-making.
About You

You are a seasoned financial leader with a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to influence at the executive level. Your background in professional services or a similar complex environment equips you with the expertise to navigate a highly regulated, dynamic industry.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA, CA, or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior financial management experience, ideally in professional services or a high-growth environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business performance and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
