The Financial Accountant is a key role in the EMEA Controllership group ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, driving continuous improvement in our processes and our controls.



Responsibilities:


  • Preparation and review of scheduled Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations, including analysis and insight into what is driving the numbers.
  • Support the process of financial reporting to Group, through the OneStream consolidation system.
  • Support the fixed assets accounting process.
  • Supporting VAT reporting process.
  • Monitor and coordinate specific month end (and year-end) activities per Month End Close Timetable.
  • Understand overall closing schedule and assignment of tasks during the close and their respective deadlines and dependencies.
  • Support the performance of the year-end processes including providing relevant information to external auditors.
  • Support purchase ledger team with payment runs and open PO reviews.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience of SAP, Oracle or other ERP system
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict reporting deadlines
  • Ability to take an analytical approach with good attention to detail
  • Tenacity and curiosity to dig deeper
  • Excellent communication skills
