Job Description

The Financial Solutions Sr. Analyst in Controller Transformation team is a techno functional professional who contributes to the Citi’s overall transformation strategy by innovatively designing solutions for improving the current state processes & delivering technology solutions for the Controller organization. This role requires ongoing consideration of long-term solutions that drive efficiency and reduce the organizations’ reliance on EUCs and manual touchpoints. The incumbent is expected to be tech savvy, whilst having hands on knowledge of Accounting, Ledger & Close Processes and associated tools. They should be able to communicate clearly across the organization levels relying on their ability to guide and influence others both internally and outside of the immediate team. The role requires high level of ownership of one’s deliverables and ensuring timely, good quality and comprehensive outcomes. The senior analyst is expected to provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and guide and mentor junior team members.

The deliverables assigned to this role have a key impact on Citi’s Transformation agenda and hence provide significant exposure to various Controller processes and seniors globally.



Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the design, implementation, and governance of end-to-end technology requirements for close operating model.
  • Partners with Technology teams to explain requirements, review the build and delivery of the tech solutions.
  • Helps drive forums to socialize tools & technologies built, gathers feedback and plans the delivery of the same
  • Participates in formulating strategic direction for the process and architecture for the Controllers organization across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations.
  • Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into Controller processes and applications.
  • Implements policies and procedures.
  • Participates in UAT and provides feedback to ensure all requirements are incorporated in the tool.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited supervision and ownership of one’s own deliverables.
  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.


Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / master’s in business administration (MBA)/ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent combination of education
  • 6 to 8+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry (Controller, FP&A, Treasury preferred)
  • Hands on experience of leveraging BI Tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, active listening); ability to synthesize key messages and influence others
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Ability to see the "big picture" without losing attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions with limited instructions.
  • Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred
