Introduction
Currently seeking a Management Accountant for a leading company based in Woodstock, Cape Town, this position would provide accurate and timely accounting, analysis, budgeting, and forecast information to support business decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas
  • Accounting and Reconciliation
    • Perform general ledger provision reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
    • Clear reconciling items promptly.
    • Prepare and validate journals, including monthly accrual journals.
  • Reporting
    • Compile and distribute cost center expense reports using tools like Qlikview/Qliksense/NAV, with insightful commentary.
    • Prepare consolidated Fixed and Variable Operating Expense reports for monthly and board packs, including detailed commentary.
    • Generate monthly sales pack reports for various markets/divisions.
    • Produce Factory Shops income statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Prepare and consolidate Fixed Operating Expense budgets and related reports.
    • Review and maintain selling expense cost rate tables for alignment with actual selling expenses.
  • Analysis and Support
    • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
    • Participate in the preparation of Monthly Management, Quarterly Board, and Budget Packs.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage an efficient filing system.
    • Ensure accuracy in all deliverables.
    • Maintain open communication with management.
  • Desired Experience & Qualification
    Qualifications & Experience
    • B. Com or a relevant tertiary qualification.
    • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

    Technical Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
    • Familiarity with business tools like Qlikview/Qliksense/NAV.
