FS Tax - M&A Assistant Manager, London

Do you have FS Tax experience or M&A tax experience?

Are you newly qualified or close to qualifying?

My client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join their FS tax team in London. You will be working across a range of areas but with a particular focus on Asset Finance & Leasing Tax.

They are looking for high quality candidates, motivated by a desire to work within the sector and capable of dealing with both the flexible and technical demands that this brings.

The team provides advice to a wide variety of institutions, including banks, manufacturers, financial institutions, private equity and rolling stock leasing companies as well as acting as subject matter experts for wider firm.

The team supports their clients with a range of commercial and tax advisory services with a focus on transaction diligence and transaction structuring as well as on lease related tax advisory services

What does the role look like?
  • You will have the chance to work across the full range of clients and services, with the opportunity to work directly with partners and directors
  • There is also the potential to work closely with other lines of service - Audit, Consulting, Deals and Risk - as well as the international network.
  • You will be encouraged to develop your own client relationships, lead your own teams, innovate ways of working and drive new uses of technology.

What are they looking for?
  • Must possess an ACA or CTA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
  • Ability to develop self and others
  • Strong interest in the Asset Finance & Leasing, Credit or Infrastructure sectors
  • Motivated individual with a desire for a permanent career in tax
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Both numerate and literate
  • Confident with accounting concepts (ideally including tax accounting)
