Credit Controller Opportunity - Liverpool

Full Time / Part Time Considered

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join our team based in Old Swan, Liverpool.

Key Skills & Competencies

* Proven experience in credit control, ideally within the construction industry.

* Comprehensive understanding of CIS regulations and processes.

* Familiarity with subcontractor control and RCV regulations.

* Exceptional communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

* Experience using CIS software.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Management: Monitor and manage client accounts to ensure timely payments. Regularly review aged debtors and proactively reduce overdue accounts. Manage subcontractor control, including report maintenance, reconciliation, and mid/end-of-month payment runs. Weekly review of outstanding amounts to ESD. Maintain up-to-date subcontractor insurance documents.

CIS Compliance: Verify subcontractor details in line with CIS requirements. Ensure accurate deductions and payments under the CIS scheme. Submit CIS returns and maintain audit-ready records.

Debt Recovery: Issue monthly sales applications, valuations, reminders, and statements to clients. Chase outstanding payment certificates and final accounts internally and externally. Timely turnaround of payment certificates and M&E split reviews.

Reporting: Prepare regular credit control and CIS compliance performance reports. Maintain updated key reports and provide management updates on high-risk accounts.

Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with the finance team for account reconciliation. Liaise with clients and subcontractors to resolve disputes and discrepancies. Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Hours of Work

Full Time: Monday to Thursday (8 am - 5 pm), Friday (8 am - 4 pm). Part Time (32 Hours): Flexible start and finish times available for the right candidate.

Holiday Entitlement

24 days plus your birthday off.

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
