Murray Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for a Payroll Specialist for our client based in Lanarkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with end-to-end payroll experience and a solid understanding of finance processes to contribute to a dynamic and growing business.

This role involves managing the full payroll cycle for two companies, totalling approximately 345 employees, while providing support for sales and purchase ledger processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll and financial records while working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll (End-to-End):
- Collate and analyse data from the labour recording system, preparing detailed spreadsheets.
- Process a mix of hourly paid and monthly paid employees.
- Verify and process new starters, leavers, and statutory payments such as SSP.
- Prepare payroll data for upload to the payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate and check payroll, including detailed error-checking of payslips.
- Review and reconcile reports from the payroll provider before final approval by senior management.
Finance Support:
- Assist with sales and purchase ledger processes as part of the wider finance team.
Experience/Skills
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, including statutory payments and deductions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and spreadsheet management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Offering
Salary:
£32,000 per annum.- Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (30-minute lunch).
- Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays (1 Jan - 31 Dec).
- Pension: Employer contribution 5%, Employee contribution 5%.
