Chief Financial Officer
About the Company
Our client is an ASX-listed exploration company with ownership of one of the largest undeveloped silver projects in Australia, and one of the largest globally. Following a successful capital raise, the company is fully funded to finalise activities leading to a Final Investment Decision expected in Q2/Q3 2025.
The Opportunity
With a detailed investment proposal to DFS standard in place, our client is now progressing through the approval process to support a development commitment. The company is seeking a mining-experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to facilitate the transition from an explorer to a silver producer. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping the company's future growth and profitability.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial and commercial operations that support the transition to becoming a profitable silver producer. This includes overseeing the production of silver and by-product credits for lead and zinc.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Financing and Funding: Lead negotiations for off-take agreements, debt structuring, and equity raises to secure required capital for mine development and future growth. Development of Financial and Operational Systems: Establish and implement comprehensive financial, costing, and commercial systems to support the company's growth and long-term success. Investor Relations: Manage investor relations, building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential investors, especially in key markets such as North America. Ensure clear and transparent communication to maintain investor confidence and showcase the company as a prime investment opportunity. Mergers & Acquisitions Strategy: Take an active role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic M&A opportunities, enhancing the company's portfolio and potentially expanding beyond silver-focused projects. Team Management: Oversee the finance team, initially contracted through a back-office provider, and lead the transition to a permanent, internal department as the project progresses to construction, commissioning, and production.
About You
