Overview
Our client in the Investment industry is seeking an experienced and qualified Group Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and providing financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/Matric
BCom Accounting degree plus articles (CA. SA advantageous)
3 years' experience in a similar role
Strong technical accounting skills, including IFRS and financial reporting
Experience with financial accounting software
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel experience
Job Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review interim reports, and other financial reports
Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the operational companies, as required.
Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
Accounting Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Audits: Part-take in the co-ordination of the annual audit process. Prepare annual financial statements for independent review companies.
Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans to achieve the business objectives of operational subsidiaries.
Team Management: Manage and develop a gaming bookkeeper to ensure effective financial reporting and analysis.
