We are currently seeking to employ a Financial Business Partner to our Head Office Support/Wellington Electricity Business based in Upper Hutt. In this role, you will provide a key financial support service to the company by analysing financial information, preparing financial reports, liaising with customers and supporting the company's financial management, using appropriate accounting control procedures.

• Ensuring financial follow-up with Business Units and management.
• Compiling and analysing financial information.
• Leading monthly reviews of Business Units and major projects.
• Supporting Business Unit managers in preparing the strategic plan and annual budgets.
• Supporting Project and Business Unit managers in preparing project and Business Unit forecasts.
• Producing monthly reports in line with the company's timelines.
• Providing leadership and guidance to the project and administration team, allowing for flexibility, evolution of process and focusing on the analytics and comprehension of the financial statements.
• Maintaining financial systems and procedures to ensure adherence to the group/company guidelines.
• Carrying out other ad hoc financial reporting and analytical work.
Qualifications and Skills
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills
• A degree in Finance or Accounting is essential and/ or Extensive relevant work experience.
