Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is paying £28k - £32k, 25 days holiday and a hybrid working model of 2 days in the Chorley-based offices and 3 days working from home. Study support will be offered if required.

THE ROLE

The role will support the Finance Director and the Accountant and the successful candidate will deal with an array of transactional finance duties.

Responsibilities:


Assist with the monthly/quarterly/annual close accounting activities, journal entry preparation and bank reconciliations

Accruals and prepayments, rebates calculation and assisting with the fixed asset process

Posting and reconciliation of payroll

Assisting with the lease accounting

Preparation and submission of VAT returns

Account reconciliation process using Blackline

Analysis and resolution of intercompany differences between trading partners

Keep process documentation up to date

Assist with internal and external audit processes

THE PERSON

You will have experience of working within a finance team within a varied role. This role is all about the experience you can offer and the client will consider an AAT/ACCA/CIMA studier or someone that is qualified by experience. This role is a permanent position and only experienced finance professionals that are currently commuteable to Chorley will be considered. You will be IT literate with good Excel and Microsoft office skills and knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
