Bennett and Game Recruitment has the pleasure of working with a Manufacturing Company located in Edgware who are on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join their Team on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is offering a starting salary of £42,000 (negotiable for the right candidate). This is a fully office-based position.

The chosen Management Accounts will be solely responsible for managing the finance function as well as overseeing general administration tasks.

Accountant Job Overview

• Preparation of daily cash flow management and forecasting
• Record financial transactions accurately and correctly
• Preparing import and export documents on daily basis
• Preparation of daily sales and operational reports
• Maintenance and reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet accounts
• Submit payments for approval
• Checking and updating of import costings as new information becomes available
• Debtor and creditors recons and control.
• Preparation and processing of month end adjustments
• Processing of foreign supplier invoices
• Preparation of monthly VAT and EMP201 returns
• Tax and VAT compliance
• Managing all commercial aspect of the business (Insurance, legal, statutory, IT system etc)
• General office administration.

Accountant Job Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in a similar role previously
• Experience dealing with EU/ International VAT rules
• Accounting qualification or QBE
• Live within a commutable distance from Edgeware
• Microsoft Excel advanced is a must
• Experience using accounting software packages is essential

Accountant Salary & Benefits

• £42,000 - £45,000 (dependant on experience)
• 8am - 5pm
• Monday - Friday
• 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
