Role: Accountant - Very exciting opportunity to join a global company with head office in Berlin Germany, to work within the shared services division collaborating with international teams and group entities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAbout the Role: My client is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their shared services finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial reporting requirements of three entities within the investment group structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports
• Compile group financial statements and comprehensive notes
• Handle group consolidations and eliminations
• Manage equity accounting and related disclosures
• Process fixed asset accounting and reconciliations

Technical Accounting

• Apply IFRS standards to complex accounting scenarios
• Calculate and account for revenue recognition
• Manage deferred revenue calculations and accounting
• Ensure accurate application of accounting principles
• Maintain detailed supporting schedules

Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to group accounting policies
• Maintain internal control procedures
• Support external audit processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience
• Strong IFRS knowledge and application
• Experience in group consolidations
• Proven track record in financial statement preparation
• Professional accounting qualification
• Advanced Excel skills
