Accountant

My client a well-established Audit and Accounting firm in the Southern Suburbs in Cape Town has a permanent vacancy for a Accountant with tax experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing tax returns for companies, individuals and trusts
• Preparing provisional tax returns
• Applying for tax clearance certificates
• EMP 501 reconciliations and DWT returns
• Registering clients for VAT, PAYE, SDL etc
• Lodging objections and appeals with SARS when required and checking assessments
• Liaising with SARS and attending appointments at SARS
• Liaising with clients
• Recording time on Greatsoft
• Preparing annual financial statements
• General accounting duties

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a Tax Department or Accounting in an Audit and Accounting firm
• Must have MS Office and Greatsoft experience
• Must have a valid drivers licence and own vehicle
• Must have very good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Presentable and professional with excellent communication skills
