Our client, a leader in their field, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Preparing Financial reports
  • Preparing Management reports
  • Preparing/analysing Balance Sheet Recons
  • Preparing detailed inventory analysis and inventory reports
  • Preparing relevant journals including month end journals
  • Payment authorisation
  • Creating and maintaining Reports and Financial models
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Cashflow
  • Cost control and monitoring
  • Business analysis and reporting
  • Providing appropriate financial management and support services to Department Heads, Retail and Commercial Managers
  • Reviewing journals for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and correct allocations
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data
  • Preparing ad hoc financial statements / reports and performing ad hoc investigations as and when required
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and external reporting packs
  • Implementing internal controls
  • Applying and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • VAT
  • Ensuring that all departments/sites comply with all financial procedures and that the system of internal control is applied
  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial systems and processes
  • Playing a key role in all audits
  • Assisting with Insurance related tasks and admin
  • Assisting with contract management as and when required
  • Playing a key role in relevant improvement projects including (but not limited to) mapping and streamlining processes, preparing Finance SOPs and cost saving initiatives

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Experience with Axapta, SAP, Oracle or Qlikview will be an advantage
