Job Description
This role provides specialist assistance to Risk Officers and Senior Risk Officers to ensure that risk processes occur at business unit level. The individual is accountable for achieving results through own efforts.
Responsibilities
Financial Management and Control
Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control.
Data Collection and Analysis
Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
Policies and Procedures Development
Contribute to the drafting of policies, procedures, and related guidelines within an area of expertise to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.
Organizational Risk Management
Develop and/or deliver a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or risk control processes.
Risk Scenario Modeling
Analyze and assess the risks associated with products, individual applications, new business areas, and the market to quantify risk and ensure it is within the agreed risk appetite.
Recommendations
Advise others on how to design new processes and systems that meet professional standards.
Insights and Reporting
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
Document Preparation
Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.
Operational Compliance
Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

- Job Requirements:
- Critical performance areas are:
- Balance Sheet Analysis & Interpretation of Financial Statements
- Report Writing
- Co-ordinate, prepare & present reviews at credit committee meetings
- Making recommendations and amendments on the buyer database.
- Conducting, arranging / co-ordinating of buyer visits
- Special risk projects
- Reinsurance applications
- Management / training of staff
- Administer & manage daily work functions & projects of team and self
- Support to functions of other immediate departmental seniors
- APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- A post-Matric qualification equivalent to NQF Level 7 in Commerce majoring in Business Economics/ Accounting/ Finance/ Econometrics / Credit Management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis
- Good management skills
- Report writing skills
- Time management and prioritizing high volumes of work
- Must be able to work under pressure and achieve targets & deadlines
- English literacy and correspondence skills
- Valid code 8 driver's licence older than 12 months
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
