Job Accountabilities

Develop the financial reporting, finance systems and IT systems in conjunction with others in the business unit to maintain robust financial systems and controls ensuring integrity of all systems.

Ensure the financial reporting of the P&L and Balance Sheet are in alignment with applicable accounting standards, the internal controls framework and corporate policies

In conjunction with company management prepare annual budget and regular forecasting updates

Regular consultation with managers and directors, assisting with interpretation of results, explaining variances (against budget, prior months or standard costs), leading to enhanced business performance

Through this consultation provide guidance on costs, cost drivers and cash management ensuring awareness of the full cost of products and services provided to allow the appropriate commercial decision making.

Manage cash position, update projections, approve payments, and manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

Oversee the monthly payroll & quarterly VAT filings

Work with all areas of the business to identify commercially astute opportunities that will contribute towards a sustainable financial model for the organisation

The Candidate:

Professionally qualified individual who can act as a central focus, driver and coordinator for all the companies financial activities within the legal parameters of accounting standards

Demonstrate the ability to positively influence and work collaboratively with all key business stakeholders (internal & external), including Commercial and IT teams to achieve improved business outcomes.

Demonstrate commercial insight and have good communication skills with people at all levels and articulate the bigger picture in ways that are meaningful and engaging.

Actively demonstrate values-led leadership behaviours and maintain a level of comfort and confidence in leadership in conflict situations and challenging circumstances.

Can maintain a strategic focus whilst motivating and guiding a finance team and managing business as usual operations.
