Corporate Tax Senior

The Role

Barber McLelland are working as recruitment partners on behalf of a well established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sheffield. Due to ongoing development and growth within the firms tax division, the business are looking to appoint an experienced tax professional for the role of Corporate Tax Senior.

The practice offers a full range of accounting and taxation services to a varied client portfolio of owner managed businesses and have developed an excellent reputation as a client service lead business, which has been pivotal in their success and allowed for growth and expansion of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the firms Taxation Partner, the role of Corporate Tax Senior will include:

• Corporate tax compliance, including reviewing accounts files and draft computations and submissions of returns to HMRC
• HMRC correspondence
• Development of corporate tax advisory experience, working across a broad range of clients
• Monitor submission and other key deadlines
• Participate in proactive planning, including liaising with Corporate Business Services and Personal Tax department
• Provide technical updates to colleagues
• Work closely with the Personal Tax Department to deliver an effective, all round tax service to clients including IHT, PAYE and NIC, etc

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicant will be an ATT or CIOT/CTA qualified tax accountant who seeking an opportunity to continue their professional career development within a forward thinking, dynamic accountancy firm.

Individuals must have a strong base of business tax compliance experience, knowledge of personal tax would also be beneficial but not essential.

Salary and Benefits

• Statring Salary - Circa £35,000
