Up to £80k.Are you an experienced Financial Controller with a knack for navigating PE-backed environments? Reed Accountancy is on the lookout for a talented individual to lead our clients financial and accounting operations. This pivotal role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial regulations, while also driving strategic financial planning and risk management.

What You'll Do:

• Accounting Operations Management: Oversee billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, stock accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Coordinate budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variance reporting.
• Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Prepare regulatory reports, manage VAT returns, and ensure timely publication of financial statements.
• Process Improvement and Quality Control: Develop business processes, accounting policies, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Team Development and Support: Mentor and train staff, assist with technical accounting issues, and support month-end/year-end close processes.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Proven track record as a Financial Controller, especially in PE-backed environments.
• Skills: Proficient in creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and Microsoft Excel. Strong accounting software skills.
• Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of financial statistics, accounting principles, and regulations.
