A truly independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds is looking to appoint an Audit Director.This Chartered firm is looking to recruit an ambitious individual who wishes to progress their external audit career and who is keen to become involved in the overall management and strategic direction of the audit team, whilst maintaining involvement with a portfolio of clients.The role:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering a high quality audit service.
• Planning staffing and resources for assignments, managing audits from planning to completion within agreed budgets and timescales.
• Coaching and develop other members of the audit team and enable them to grow their knowledge and experience.
• Play a key role in managing the operational and strategic direction of the team together with a portfolio of their own audit clients.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new business development opportunities.
• Provide technical expertise, provide advice and leadership to the audit team and clients.
• Assisting the audit partners in ensuring standards and procedures are maintained by the team.
