Our well-established client based in central Gloucester require an Assistant Finance Manager to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
To apply for this role you must hold a finance related qualification and have previous experience in an accounting role.
Responsibilities:
-Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records
-Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in accordance with company policies
-Reconcile bank statements, trust accounts and assist in the resolution of discrepancies
-Reconcile credit card statements and processing of receipts
-Process and submit VAT returns
-Journaling of prepayments and accruals
-Enter financial data into accounting software with high accuracy
-Assist in generating financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
-Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
-Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
-Liaise with suppliers, clients, and other departments to address financial enquiries and issues
-Assist in communicating financial information to team members and management
-Assist and provide leadership to the finance team
-Conduct and lead on team meetings and employee development
Salary up to £35,000 - depending on experience
Hours 35 hours per week, 2 days per week working from home
