Interim Financial Accountant / Financial Controller (six months)

Following a recent carve out, which has resulted in the formation of a stand-alone retail business, my client based near Exeter (Devon) need to hire an Interim financial Accountant / Financial Controller for a six month assignment.

Key deliverables (reporting to the Finance Director):

• Supporting and strengthening all month-end activity.
• Improving the internal controls environment.
• Implementing process improvements.

Your profile:

• You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with extensive experience of owning all month-end responsibilities. I will need to see demonstrable evidence of your ability to maintain and improve internal control processes; supporting the migration to a best in class financial environment.
• You must know what good looks like in terms of a financial accounting / financial control environment. A background in internal audit would therefore be beneficial.
• One to two days per week in the office
