Role Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the personal tax compliance process for a portfolio of clients
• Provide expert advice on personal tax planning, inheritance tax, trusts, and capital gains tax
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as their go-to advisor
• Review and sign off on complex tax computations prepared by junior team members
• Identify tax planning opportunities and implement bespoke strategies for clients
• Support the development and training of team members, fostering their growth and expertise
• Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation, ensuring clients remain compliant and benefit from new opportunities
• Work collaboratively with the wider tax and accounts teams on cross-departmental projects

Candidate Requirements

Ideally, you will:

• Be CTA qualified or hold equivalent professional qualifications.
• Have substantial experience in personal tax, including compliance and advisory.
• Demonstrate a proven ability to manage and develop a client portfolio.
• Show strong technical expertise in inheritance tax, trusts, and capital gains tax.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture client relationships.
• Exhibit leadership capabilities, including mentoring and managing junior team members.
• Be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
