Job Description

The Job Mission
As an Accounts Assistant, your mission is to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes across staff expenses and supplier accounts. This role is vital to supporting our operations, combining detail-oriented work with collaborative problem-solving.

PLEASE NOTE - this is a part time role, offering 25 hours per week, with flexibility over working days.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Checking and processing expense claims per company policies and HMRC guidelines
Managing the monthly staff expense payment process
Maintaining staff expense advance files and company car/car allowance records
Liaising with HR and recruitment regarding relocation expenses
Updating and maintaining HMRC fuel rates quarterly on internal systems
Processing contractor timesheets and supplier invoices
Supporting general accounts administration and team absence cover

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Accounting knowledge with strong administration abilities
Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Teams)
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines independently
Strong teamwork mindset and problem-solving skills
Previous experience in an accounts department Desired Skills

Familiarity with staff expenses and HMRC guidelines
