My client is a £20million turnover food manufacturing business based in Leeds. As a result of a recent restructuring process, they are seeking a Financial Accountant / Finance Manager to drive a ‘best in class’ reporting function for the business as it moves forward to its next stage of growth and development. The role will have responsibility for coaching and mentoring a team to develop their skills and capabilities and deliver an outstanding service to the business. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation, review and delivery of monthly management accounts with completed supporting schedules
• Ensuring the Finance ledger team maintains complete and accurate reporting
• Review of internal processes to ensure they are “fit for purpose”, efficient and appropriate for the business
• Support and develop team members to ensure shared knowledge, skills and provide structured career paths for all
• Provide information as required by external parties (Bank, HMRC, ONS, Insurance, Auditors)
• Lead the preparation of accounts/tax disclosures and schedules for statutory audit

In order to deliver, you will be:

• A qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Technically competent from a financial reporting perspective
• Experienced in similar role, not necessarily from within the food industry although this would be advantageous
• Able to demonstrate initiative, problem solving and communication skills
• A drive to succeed, improve and challenge the status quo
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

This is a site based role, and in order to be considered you MUST already live within a commutable distance of Leeds. Salary £50,000 - £60,000.
